Hi Joe! It's great to hear from you. Our Fly collaboration is still one of my all time favorites!

We're not shutting down yet. I'm going to give it some time to see if anyone has an interest in managing the site. And I will bring it back when I'm able to produce tutorials again.

Sad news ! YEs this forum was so great and yes as Joe said "what a pleasure it was to meet each other and play U2 together and compare our tones duringthe U2GT meetings! I think the activity was reduced with everyone using the Axe-FX and when people began to sell U2 presets for axe FX... C'est dommage. We were sharing audio chains and tips. All the infos here are precious. Will we lose those infos ?
By the way, Thanks a lot Michael. Thanks to you I now can do what I was dreaming of : playing U2 songs ! Before seeing your tutos, I thought playing the Edge guitar parts was un reachable. And thanks to Tim and all my the friends I met here and during the meetings. Olivier

    Hi Michael,

First of all, thank you for everything. This forum has been a source of inspiration and ilumination for me, personally.

I would like to ask you if it'd be possible to share the latest presets you have in a different place or shape, since lots of people, like myself didn't get out users activated we do not have access to download files from the forum. it would be a shame that, in the event the forum gets shut down, we definitely lose access to files shared by people.

    Thank you again, Michael.

Maybe, we should make donations as done on https://u2torrents.com.
On https://u2torrents.com, the administrators ask for donations. They show the amount of Euros required to maintain hosting on the website and each time someone makes a donation, this amount changes, until it comes to 0.
Only access to the posts already here would be accessible (no new post could be created). No new member would be possible so they wouldn't be a lot of work I guess ?
It would be a real waste to lose all the valuable information here.
Sometimes, when I forgot the way I made some of my old tones, some tips or some interesting discussions, I search for some old posts with so many precious infos...

It's a great idea, but Tim and I don't have the time right now. That's why we need at least one (maybe more) person to take over the site to support it and add features like this.

Well, as far as I'm concerned, same problem with me. Don't have enough time...
By the way, if we wanna a have volonteers to do such a thing (support the site)... we need to tell those volonteers what they'll have to do exactly, what's involved in supporting this website.
Personnaly, I don't have any idea about what supporting such an internet forum implies...
If the forum is kind of "frozen" and can only be consulted by existing members (no new members registrations and the existing member won't be able to post anymore on the forum), I suppose we only need to get sure that the site's security has been properly studied and that we pay the internet host each year. Am I right or am I wrong ? Do you have the email of each members ? If the answer is yes... maybe you could send a mail to each member asking for volonteers and explaining in detail what's involved in supporting the "frozen" forum... Then, if we wanna do as they did on https://u2torrents.com... I think we someone who knows website design to put on the first page of the site the amount needed to pay for hosting the site, then a link to a payment page (pay with paypal or a credit card) and then a way to display the amount remaining to be paid as payments are made.
I guess some of the members here can deal with that...
