    Foot Switchers

    Hi all
Is there anyone using a foot switcher that simply changes pre sets and scenes within a pre set?
Not interested in stomping effects on and off or programming thru the switcher.
I do everything on the Axe Fx Editor.
I am currently using the MFC-101 and am not using it for what it is meant for.
    Thanx

The MFC-101 can be used to switch presets and scenes. You don’t have to use it to turn effects on or off. Using the native Fractal MFC-101 should limit any programming as it’s meant to be used with the AxeFx. I don’t think you will find an easier solution to switch patches, than the one you currently already have.

If you’re asking for a super simple midi switcher to change presets, you can look at the Tech 21 midi mouse. its basically a switcher that will allow you to move from one preset to another up and down. But seriously you can do this with the MFC-101, I’d highly suggest you use that (even if you don’t use it to its full potential) and save spending anymore money on something that will actually limit you on what you can already do anyways with the MFC.

    Excellent response. Thank you.
I just feel i am not using the MFC-101 to it's full potential.
It's foot print is fairly big.
I just need a MIDI 4 switch option, with a small foot print.
Possibly a Ground Control etc ???

If you're referring to the VL Ground Control Pro, I believe that is just as big as the MFC. Don't forget some of these aftermarket midi controllers may require additional power supply requirements. From what I recall from the MFC, this unit is phantom powered with a single cable plugged into the Axefx. With some of these alternative options you may have to run a midi cable, and a power adapter to make them work.

i used the MFC with my original AXEFX before the MFC came out and I started using it with the AXEII. The MFC is a better unit. foot print and over aesthetic. I have not had the MFC in a while, but I believe it was taller and wouldn't fit in the drawer I wanted it to fit in. Also, the MFC is easier to get power to. Not sure if there is a new version of the MFC. I had mine 10 years ago.

Will the new MFC units for the Axe FXIII work for the Axe FXII ?
    I like the smaller footprint.

The new FC-6 / FC-12 will not work with older Fractal Axe FX2
