Best thing of the helix compared to the hd series is the amp modeling. When i switched to helix i basically used the "old" effects from tye hd that are in the helix too.

So, since everybody is stuck at home at the moment i thought it would be a good moment to start a little project.

I think the pod go has ampsims so you can connect that to your active speaker, no problem.
I used to have a helix and the ampsims on the Go are the same. Much better than on the hd500.

But there is no ampsim in the presets so you need a vox. Ampsims in the hd series is not good at all.
I would go with the newer generation but not sure if these have ampsims at all. I thing the go...

Well, he made them on a mk2 (not XL or XL+) so it should be ok then.
Really want to buy a set and see what the fuss is all about [emoji6]

I have some presets i have made myself that are ok but...

Anyone here own an axefx2 mk1 and ordered Edo's presets?

Apparently they are made on an mk2 so thats why i ask if they work.

Even Edo cant make the HD ampmodels sound good!
But with a real amp or a joyo pedal these will sound great.
Check some old Achtung Babies footage on youtube for proof, like this one.. all HD.and...

The pod is not that difficult to work with especially with the editor on your pc. I think you can download the editor without having a hd500 and work with it a bit before buying the pod.

The helix is very, very easy to tweak. You can go as deep as you want but dont have to.

Mine is only hooked up to a pc for updates, for the rest everything is done on the unit.
