Thread: Family Photo - The Girls

Nope - it's a reissue (2008, I believe). I owned (for a very brief time) an actual 1976 - long story, but it had a cracked headstock so I sent it back to the seller. The build quality on mine was much better than the "actual" 1976; not even close. Not saying that I wouldn't like to have a 1976 - I very much would - but that particular guitar vs. mine - mine wins. There was also a 1976 at my local guitar center and it was in pretty good shape overall (in terms of knicks and wear) but the pieces (it's a 3-piece body) had begun to separate. Remember, 1976 was in the heart of the "Norlin" years where quality control was their #1 priority. Buying an actual 1976, in my opinion, is pretty risky!

it's a shame that the overall quality was not as good as your '08... otherwise you would have a fixed headstock just like Edge's! :-)

    GAS !
The Rickenbacker and the Gibson SG (Elevation) are missing though...
    Nice set, anyway.

How would you guys describe the sound from the Country Gentleman? I've always wanted one.

Well; un"effect"ed, it sounds jazzy and twangy. Michael did I'll go crazy tutorial with one, so you should be able to decipher the clean sound at times in that song. Of course when you introduce drives and pitch shifting, it takes on a whole new life.

Thanks Rockne! I'll have to try one out at my local guitar shop.

+ 1 on the 'Casino'. great guitar. Not only is it an Edge Used/Edge Approved guitar (Breathe, No Line On The Horizon, All Because of You...)

But it doubles nicely in place of a Gibson 330TD - like that used by Edge for "One" on ZooTV, "Holy Joe" at the Popmart promo show...
