Elevation and the E chord
Hey U2 fanatics!!
I've been rushing through Elevation as I have to have something sorted for band practice tomorrow. The chorus with the big pumping chords that gets everyone jumping in the crowd. I'm playing the Emaj like this;
Normal Emaj bar chord at 7th fret with low E string open, muting the d string, playing the E note on the G string and A note on the B string (as normal on 9th fret) and that's it.
Next chord in the Amaj, bar chord. Playing the whole chord, all strings. Slight emphasis on the higher notes in strumming but still playing the whole chord.
What you think? I see a bit of power chord tabbed out there and feel it needs a bigger open ring too it. Emphasis on ringing the three octaves of E and the one high A note on B string 9th fret.
Anyway just thought I'd share that and see if anyone has an opinion on it.
Oh and just quickly the timing for KayFuzz wah, Play notes on 1 then again on 2&, am I right with this? Creeps up on ya
1 & 2 & 3 & 4 &
Rock on peoples

Yea, love it! Although I'm sure he changes the timing of the wah/fuzz between playing without and with effects.
Thanks for sharing that
