I agree with Jacques - pickups will give tonality only and your pups sound good - so only think you need to do is have a play with the drive on the AC30 and FET boost to find the "Sweet Spot" - I define the "Sweet post" as guitar volume on full - tone on full - Twang the strings on a A or E chord with a bit of force, and the amp should distort - then strum gently and the amp should play nearly clean. This is with all effects turned off except the amp and cab model in the AXE.It is just so good to play. Really cool easy song. Almost done just a few issues with the solo an outro... Should have one thing together by next weekend ...
Guys I think you are. Right my standard pickups are just to tame... Going to have a look at this. Might look at some woodstocks ....
Now you have the crunchy sweet spot on the AC30 model - add the FET boost in and then play BAD or Pride chords and you should get the sweet tone that Edge gets or near to it. Then play around with the settings to get it where you are comfortable. For Silver and Gold a bit more drive on the FET will not hurt.
My FS1 bridge puts out apparently 25% more output - so my settings will need a bit of tweaking as do all presets when you download them.
